I believe; Do you?

We needed to ask ourselves but one short question. “Do I now believe, or am I even willing to believe, that there is a Power greater than myself?” As soon as a man can say that he does believe, or is willing to believe, we emphatically assure him that he is on his way. It has been repeatedly proven among us that upon this simple cornerstone a wonderfully effective spiritual structure can be built.   Alcoholics Anonymous pg 47

For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him. There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son. John 3:16-18 NLT

Father God, I thank you for your love.  I believe in the love that you have for me.  I believe that you sent your Son, Jesus, to die for me. Thank you for washing me clean of sin, sickness, poverty and guilt.  I believe that by His death and resurrection that I am now in right standing with you.  That you have brought me back to yourself and call me friend . Thank you for my redemption and eternal life.       In Jesus Name, Amen.

  1. The day I learned that it was Ok to believe, but not understand, was a day of great freedom for me. I don’t see anywhere that God called us to fully understand him. But plenty of places to exercise our faith and believe. So I don’t get tripped up so often anymore.

    Ciao.
