To Help and Not to Judge

Most of us sense that real tolerance of other people’s shortcomings and viewpoints and a respect for their opinions are attitudes which make us more useful to others. Our very lives, as ex-problem drinkers, depend upon our constant thought of others and how we may help meet their needs.    Alcoholics Anonymous 19-20

So be careful not to jump to conclusions before the Lord returns as to whether or not someone is faithful. When the Lord comes, he will bring our deepest secrets to light and will reveal our private motives. And then God will give to everyone whatever praise is due.     1 Corinthians 4:5 NLT

Lord, I thank you for my sobriety and life today.  Thank you for bringing me to this better place.  Help me to remember that I am not called to judge others but I am called to help others.  You sent Jesus into the world to save it and not condemn it.  Help me to be more like Jesus.      In Jesus Name,  Amen.
