We Reap what we Sow.

Selfishness, self-centeredness! That, we think, is the root of our troubles. Driven by a hundred forms of fear, self-delusion, self-seeking, and self-pity, we step on the toes of our fellows and they retaliate. Sometimes they hurt us, seemingly without provocation, but we invariably find that at some time in the past we have made decisions based on self which later placed us in a position to be hurt.  Alcoholics Anonymous  pg 62

Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.    Galatians 6:7-9 NIV

I thank you Father that as I plant seeds of recovery I harvest a field of serenity.  Thank you, Lord, for delivering me from the bondage of self that I may better do thy will.  I pray that you will help me not get tired of doing what is right and that I will reap a harvest of blessing at your appointed time.   In Jesus Name, Amen.
